Chapter 1

What are the trends of the Information Age?
The Information Age occured 1956 through 1957.  Sputnik was launched during this year.  This age of technology was marked with the beginning of satelite communication, global perspectives, and implications for education.

  4. I never would have thought that the information age began in 1956!! I would've guessed closer to the 80's. It has definitely come a long way.

  6. It is crazy to me that the Information Age only spanned two years. It seems like what we are living in now would be considered the Information Age, but I don't know.

  7. A lot has changed since 1956 in terms of technology! I think it is amazing how quickly our world has advanced in terms of information and the technology used to find or receive that information.
